As we write this, the Clapper office has the perfect view of clear blue skies and bright green grass. The ideal summer snapshot right outside our window. But on the other side of the world, we know some of our favorite Aussies are bundled up, trying to stay warm and planning a wintery weekend. And no matter if you’re sweating out the heat or shivering in the cold, we could all use a drink. Luckily, Clapper creators have got us covered! Here’s 5 cool and cozy cocktails to help you cope with (or celebrate!) the season.
Cool: The Yuzu Lemon Drop 🍋
This drink posted by @IndianTwunk is a remix of the classic Lemon Drop cocktail. The honey adds some extra sweetness, as does the limoncello! The latter also keeps you from having to juice an actual lemon and makes it a little more boozy. Either way, it’s a refreshing treat best paired with lunch on a patio.
Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka
- 0.5 oz triple sec
- 1 oz yuzu honey preserves
- 1 oz limoncello
Cool: Homemade Summer Cocktail 🍹
Shareable and customizable? We’re in! This pitcher mix posted by @Kateshome and is shockingly easy to make. We love that it will work for multiple types of liquor, so everyone can find the mix they like best. Plus, on it’s own it’ll taste like a light and fruity lemonade, so you can your friends can still indulge even if you want to stay sober!

- 2 – 3 strawberries (or however many you want!)
- 1 mango
- 1 lemon
- butterfly pea flower
- liquor of your choice!
A Bit of Both: Berry Margarita 🫐
Yes, this drink is served over ice. But the jalapeno will be sure to warm up any drinker! @MommaFarmhouse shared this spicy berry margarita that makes use of fruit just past it’s perfection point. It’s still good, but it’s a little extra sweet. And she uses a premade margarita mix, meaning you can get to drinking ASAP!

Cozy: Spike Caramel Coffee 🫘
We love coffee in all it’s forms, but this spiked recipe from @princesayike might just be our new favorite. If you want to make it extra fancy, try frothing the Kahlua and creamer together with some heavy cream! It will make the whole drink warmer and add that extra foam. No coffee is complete without a small milk mustache!
Ingredients (measure with your heart!):
- caramel coffee
- salted caramel Kahlua (about 2 oz)
- caramel moonshine (about 2 oz)
- chocolate and caramel creamer
Cozy: Glogg ☕
Glogg is a lot like mulled wine…but with a much cooler name. @Martigan_Drinks showed us how to make this warm and cozy cocktail perfect for wintery nights. It even comes with its own snack! Just a warning, though: you may end up taking an incredible nap after a cup.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups red wine
- 1.5 oz port
- 1 oz aquavit
- cinnamon (season with your heart!)
- raisins (season with your heart!)
- almonds (season with your heart!)
- star anise (season with your heart!)
- orange peel (season with your heart!)
- brown sugar (season with your heart!)
