In late October, we’re removing three features from the Clapper app. We’re making this call so we can keep Clapper fast and reliable, and so we can concentrate on the tools that our community relies on. This is not a sign that things are going poorly. It’s the opposite. We’re just focusing on short-form content, Livestreams, gifts, Shops, and the core ways you hang with your people.
What’s Leaving in Late October 📅
These three features will be removed from Clapper:
- Clubs
- Fam Tiers
- Radios
If any of these are part of how you use Clapper today, you’ll want to wrap up activity there before the end of October. After that date, they will no longer be available in the app. We’ll share some tips for ending your Club and Fam Tiers later in this article.
Why We’re Doing This (And Why It Matters)
Every feature in an app costs something. Server capacity. Engineering time. Maintenance. Support. Even features that only a small slice of the community touches still take up room that could go toward tools the whole community is asking for.
Maintaining three systems for community, support tiers, and audio, on top of short video and Livestream, means we improve the core loop more slowly. And the core loop is what most people open Clapper for every day: post, go Live, talk to people, earn when it suits them.
This is a concentration decision. Community isn’t leaving Clapper. Earning isn’t leaving Clapper. The shapes of a few tools are changing so the product we keep can stay sharp.
What Is Not Changing ✅
Your people are still here. The app is still built for creators.
How you connect with your followers and other creators is changing, but that community isn’t going anywhere. You can still go Live, still receive gifts, still sell in your Shop, and still open Group chats.
We’re closing three doors. We’re not tearing down the building.
We’re Not Going to Pretend This Is Easy 💔
If you’re disappointed, frustrated, or tired of platforms changing the furniture, we understand. We’re not here to talk you out of that feeling. But being heard, seen, and valued includes being straight with you when something ends.
Clubs may be new, but people already treated them like home base. Fam and Radio have history. Creators built schedules, inside jokes, support paths, and whole weekly shows around them. We’re sad to see these features go, too.
Thank you to every creator who opened a Club, ran Fam Tiers with care, or showed up on Radio when the rest of the feed was noise. That was hard work, and this decision doesn’t take away all the times you showed up for your community.
What To Do Before The End of October ⏱️
You’ve got until late October to close loops with your community out loud. Over-communicate once. Silence makes this worse.
If you used Clubs: Post a final update with your next hang plan. Name the day and time you’ll go Live or share a Group chat they can join. Tell people to follow your profile and turn on notifications. Save any rules, links, or resources you only kept inside the Club if you need them later.
If you used Fam Tiers: Message your active Fam members early. Thank them and explain what support looks like after: gifts on Lives and videos, Shop if you’ve got something to sell, or even external platforms if you love the support tier model.
If you used Radio: Announce your final show dates. Point regulars to the new stream with the same energy, like a Live. Share the day, time, and time zone in the title. We recommend dropping a short video so people who miss the last Radio still get the message.
How To Get Similar Outcomes With What Stays 🔄
We won’t pretend you can clone Clubs, Fam, or Radio one-for-one. You can cover a lot of the same jobs with tools that remain.
If Clubs was how you gathered people: Turn your Club into a Group chat. Clearly define what it is and who it’s for. Post a video about the topic and plug your Group at the end, telling viewers where to find it. Leave it open to the public, so anyone can join. Drop daily prompts, share media, and keep the conversation going for your community.
If Fam Tiers was how closer fans supported you: Lean on gifts during Lives and on videos. Use Clapper Shop for merch, digital products, shout-outs, or other offers without waiting on a huge follower gate. Say your support goals out loud on Live like a human, not a scarcity script. Relationship first. Tools second.
If Radio was your audio show: Go Live, camera optional if that fits your style. Keep the show name and the time so the appointment still feels like your show. Use short video talking-heads or voice-led clips as async “episodes” between Lives. Guest energy can move into collab or multi-style Lives when that fits what you’re building.
Your community followed you. Help them find the next door.
What We’re Building Toward 🚀
Cleaning up popular tools only makes sense if the core gets better.
We’re putting more energy into Livestream stability and discovery, stronger short video creation and FYP, and a clearer earn path through gifts and Shop. Fewer fragmented “wait, where do we meet?” options. More excellence on the surfaces most of you already live on every week.
We’re trading three surfaces we can’t keep excellent forever for a tighter product we can keep excellent longer.
FAQ ❓
When Do Clubs, Fam, and Radio Shut Off?
Late October. We’ll update with a more official day and time when we know for sure.
Why Remove Features People Like?
Because we want Clapper’s main loop, short video, Livestream, gifts, Shop, and community to get faster, clearer, and more reliable. Maintaining three parallel systems slowed that down. Popularity made this hard. It didn’t make the trade-off free.
Is Clapper Still Creator-First?
Yes. Short video, Livestream, gifts, Shop, and real community are still the point. Be heard, be seen, and be valued still applies when tools change.
Where Do I Get Help?
Message @ClapperCreator in-app with your questions or concerns.
The Bottom Line ✨
Clubs, Fam Tiers, and Clapper Radio end in late October.
Use the time you have to thank your people and point them to your next Live and your next post. We’ll keep building the Clapper you open every day: short video, Livestream, and real ways to connect and earn.
We’re grateful you built here with us. The hard updates are part of earning that trust, not dodging it.
