Making Your Profile Stand Out 🤩
If you’re just interested in watching content, there’s nothing specific you have to include in your profile. But if you want to create content, we have some recommendations. You want to stand out from the crowd and give viewers a clear idea of what content you create. This might mean filling out every piece of your profile or just making sure your bio is witty enough.
To make your Clapper profile stand out, there are a few key elements you should pay attention to.
Your Username 👑
If you want to have a career as a content creator, a solid username is the very first step! Try to avoid usernames with a lot of numbers or usernames that might be hard to remember. Maybe try working your niche into your username if you can! Research your community to see if there are any patterns or trends in usernames.
Your Profile Pics 🖼️

Your Bio 📜
Once you have the ultimate username and profile pic, you can focus on your bio. You only have 150 – 200 characters to introduce yourself, your content, and hook your audience. Sounds hard, but there are a couple of ways to accomplish it!
List your interests and niches. Find the most important things about you and your content and list them in your bio. This packs a lot of information into a quick-to-digest spiel.
Summarize yourself in one or two sentences. Think about you and your content – or your business and the content it creates. How can you squeeze that into a direct, effective sentence?
Distill your content/personality into one, catchy quote/phrase. Something like @Rogue‘s “That Australian Lady” piques viewers’ interest and makes them want to explore your account further.
Your Profile Tags 🏷️
You can add up to 20 Profile Tags to your profile. We suggest adding the tags that best suit you and your content. If you feel your bio is a little sparse and there’s more you wish you could tell your audience, your Profile Tags can solve that! Plus, they make it easier for new creators to find you.
Your Intro Video 📸
One of the fundamental pieces of your profile is an intro video pinned to the top of your profile. This is a fairly new piece of the short-form content puzzle, but it’s a great tool! All you have to do is film a quick video introducing yourself, the content you create, and any regularly scheduled Livestreams or Radios.
