It’s basically a scientific fact; the ‘ber months are just better. The weather is (mostly) better, the clothes are comfier, and there’s a holiday literally every single month. And if you’ve been creating content for a while, you know that there’s almost nothing better than a holiday. Here are six that you should add to your fall 2025 content calendar and content inspiration for each one.
Hispanic Heritage Month 🌱
It’s no secret; we love Hispanic Heritage Month at Clapper. We’ve hosted several HHM campaigns in the past and have a little something up our sleeve this year. Celebrated between September 15 to October 15, this is a time to celebrate and honor contributions made by the Hispanic community throughout American history.
If you’re Hispanic…
- Talk about your heritage and culture.
- Share inspiring stories from your family history.
- Discuss your favorite traditions, either culturally or in your family.
- What makes your heritage unique? How has it shaped you, and why are you proud of it?
If you aren’t Hispanic…
- Challenge yourself to learn about different Hispanic cultures and heritages.
- Head to an HHM event near you. Learn about the community and have a good time.
- Visit that restaurant you’ve been eyeing. Maybe Venezuelan food is your favorite!
- Pick up a book by a Hispanic author.
- Make an effort to learn more about Hispanic culture and share the journey with your audience.
Here’s an example from the Clapper team!
Mabon 🍂
The official start of fall, Mabon is a pagan festival celebrating the fall equinox. Mabon is similar to Thanksgiving; it celebrates the harvest and is a time to express gratitude. Oh, and food is a big part of the day. Pumpkin pie, apple cider, pomegranate margaritas, corn bread, butternut squash soap, a big ol’ roast chicken – with a line-up like this, who wouldn’t want to celebrate?
For Mabon content, we recommend leaning into the fall of it all. Like…
- Visit a pumpkin patch, or carve a pumpkin.
- Make something, like an apple pie or a fall soup.
- Decorate for fall or try a fall craft.
- Share how you like to celebrate Mabon.
- Research the history, origins, or folklore of Mabon.
Above all, just be glad it’s fall! Which you can do without having to celebrate or mention Mabon. Enjoy the weather, see if you can find a yellow leaf, or post a video sharing what you’re grateful for.
Check out this example, which will help you learn a little more about Mabon and the equinox.
Oktoberfest 🍻
Whether you’ve competed in a past Rocktoberfest or grabbed a stein at your local festival, you know Oktoberfest is a good time. The event is a combination of a beer festival and a funfair, which takes place in Munich each year. But the festival quickly spread to other German communities, and now many cities in the US host Oktoberfest celebrations.
For Oktoberfest content, you can…
- Head to an Oktoberfest near you! Get into a local Oktoberfest celebration and have fun.
- Hit up a local brewery and try their Oktoberfest beers. Make a night of it and try a few from different breweries!
- Grab Oktoberfest beers from the store and do a little taste test.
Here’s an example from someone’s first Oktoberfest in Germany!
Halloween 🎃
…this one needs no introduction. It’s Halloween, probably the second most popular holiday in the US. And, as a creator, it should be one of your favorites.
Why? There’s endless potential with Halloween! It fits into every niche and community. Let’s get into a few ways you can incorporate this holiday into your content.
- DIY a decoration for your yard. Make it simple, or make it complex.
- Create some fun Halloween-themed recipes.
- Share Halloween costume ideas or party themes.
- Tell scary stories. Try writing your own or researching haunted places.
- Review horror movies or rewatch some nostalgic faves.
- Talk about the history of Halloween and its traditions.
Seriously, Halloween fits into every niche and community. Even if you create content about your pets. This classic from Jenna Marbles proves that pets can (and should) be in everything.
Dia de los Muertos 💀
This holiday is specific to Latin American culture, but you probably already know about it. Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, is a day to honor and celebrate your ancestors and passed loved ones. It’s believed that our passed loved ones can come back and visit us during these festivities.
Overall, Dia de los Muertos is a day to remember your loved ones. Here are a few things you can do to incorporate Dia de los Muertos into your content.
- If you have an ofrenda or ancestor altar, show it if you feel comfortable.
- Talk about how you keep your loved ones’ memories alive.
- Read a book about Dia de los Muertos and share what you learn.
- Watch a movie or documentary about Dia de los Muertos.
- Be warned: you’ll cry if you watch Coco, there’s no way around it.
- Make a meal, snack, or drink that one of your loved ones liked.
However you decide to celebrate, be respectful of Dia de los Muertos traditions and origins. Don’t try to claim your celebrations as your own idea. It’s not! Take the time to actually learn about it so you can celebrate properly.
This family ofrenda video is a beautiful example of what you could create.
Thanksgiving 🦃
Thanksgiving is another huge holiday in the US! And it’s a lot like Mabon, which we discussed earlier. It’s a time when we come together to give thanks for everything that’s happened this year. By now, you probably know what kind of content you can or would like to create for Thanksgiving. But here are some classics we recommend.
- Go to your local Thanksgiving parade. There’s probably one!
- Try some new recipes for the big day. Even if it’s a drink or a pie.
- Or share some of your favorite recipes! If it’s not a family secret, that is.
- Share what you’re thankful for this year.
- Tell us which dog you think should get best in show. (IYKYK)
- Decorate for Thanksgiving, and take us with you.
- Talk about past Thanksgiving Day football games. Which were your favorites?
- Give back in a soup kitchen or other community service.
This mulled wine sangria recipe is a great example!
