Around the Sun: Clapper’s 4th Birthday Celebration

For our fourth birthday, we’re planning an out-of-this-world party to celebrate another year around the sun! But it’s not just about us. We want to highlight all the incredible creators that make up our #ClapperUniverse!

Just like last year’s Clappy Awards, we want to honor creators who have gone to infinity and beyond for the Clapper community. We’re recognizing creators in seven categories and need you to help us highlight the right ones. We’ll bring the balloons, the cake, and the champagne, and all you have to do is tell us who we’re celebrating!

The categories are:

Clapper’s Rising Star Creator

Community Favorite: Musician

Livestream Host of the Year

Community Favorite: Group Chat

Content Creator of the Year

Community Favorite: Shop Owner

We’re also highlighting a video of the year! We’ll do some work on the backend and announce nominees on July 15th.

The Process 🌌

There will be three stages to this birthday bash! The first is the nomination process – and it’s super easy.

Submitting a Nomination

Whether they’re making out-of-this-world connections or creating content that’s light years ahead, create a video nominating your favorite Clapper creator. Film your video explaining who you’re nominating, what award it’s for, and why you’re nominating them. Then use the corresponding Add Yours sticker, which we’ll have ready for you to add to your video! Tag your nominee in the caption, hit post, and you’re good to go!

The deadline to submit your nominations is July 10th. For additional information on nominating creators, check out the Around the Sun banner on your Explore page.

Voting ✅

We’ll review your nominations and release the official line-up of nominees on July 15th! You can vote for up to three creators or videos in each category.

To vote, you’ll head to the Around the Sun banner on the Explore page. Open a category to review the nominees; tap each nominee’s profile picture or “Vote” button to vote for them. Once you’ve selected up to three nominees, tap the “Lock in Vote” button at the bottom to submit your vote. Once submitted, you cannot vote again or change your vote.

The deadline to vote is July 20th. 

The Award Show 🌟

On July 22nd, we’ll go Live for a special Around the Sun award show! We’ll announce our seven winners, play a few fun games, and celebrate four years of Clapper. This Livestream will be BYOCC! (Bring Your Own Cake and Candles)

The Around the Sun Livestream is July 22nd at 6pm CST. 

Blasting Off 🚀

To really celebrate all our stellar creators, we’re launching new Top 100 lists! We can’t reveal much else (it would ruin the surprise) but we’re so excited to release these lists. You’ll be able to track your progress, discover new creators, and celebrate each other’s successes!
