10 Things the Algorithm Loves About You

It’s winter in the US, which only means one thing: we’re all grumbling about cheesy rom-coms and secretly hoping we find our own, real-life version. But you don’t need to work at a Christmas tree farm or get trapped at a cozy, almost bankrupt inn to have your own magical romance. Not when the Clapper algorithm is already smitten with you.

Seriously, the algorithm does love you. And if you don’t believe us, we have a list! Here’s the 10 things the algorithm LOVES about you…and how to use them to your advantage. (A romance is good and all, but who wouldn’t like some more views?)

1. Your Cute Face

Just look at you! You’re adorable, so it’s no wonder the algorithm wants to see you. Algorithms favor videos and Lives where we can clearly see the creator’s face. Next time you post, be sure you have good lighting and clear camera quality.

2. Your Personality

The algorithm loves you as you are. Be yourself when creating your content. Don’t pretend to be someone else or try to alter your personality to better suit a potential audience. Show up as you, make sure the video highlights your stellar self, and watch the algorithm eat it up.

3. Your Interests

No matter what you think, the algorithm wants to hear all about the things you love. Don’t feel that you have to focus on one niche or aspect of who you are. Post content about what you care about: the more topics, the better!

Why does the algorithm like this? Well, it gives you more to post about, and the algorithm goes crazy…

4. When You Post Often

The algorithm loves when you post consistently. Seeing a video from you literally makes its day brighter! Plus, it’s more likely to push videos from creators that are connect to the community. Posting often means you’re connecting more.

Not to mention the more content you have, the more viewers can find and watch.

5. Watching You Connect with Others

Like we said, the algorithm loves when you connect with the community. It pushes creators who comment on other people’s videos, who like videos from their FYP or Explore page, who follow other creators. Spend a little time with the Clapper community and interact with your following and the algorithm will surely pay you back!

6. When People Rewatch Your Videos

This is a newer fave from other platforms, but still one that will help you on Clapper, too. A rewatch is an interaction, so it can help your video perform better. Plus, it increases watch time, which is one of the hotter, new metrics. The more enticing your can make your videos, the more people will rewatch them.

7. The Way You Talk

The algorithm loves your voice, so don’t be afraid to use it! Jump right into the content and don’t pause at the start of your videos. Also, if you speak in your videos, make sure that we can clearly hear and understand you. Don’t make the algorithm or your viewers fight to hear you.

8. When You Use Hashtags

The algorithm wants to help you connect with other creators, and hashtags make it a lot easier! People can find your content when they search the hashtags. And the more people watch your content, the more people show interest in a topic, the more the algorithm will show it to others.

9. When You Use Its Tools

The Clapper algorithm might adore you…but it’s a bit selfish, too! It loves when you use its editing tools, its text, or its music. Next time you create a video in another editing app (let’s be honest, most creators edit in a different app than they post) plug in something from Clapper. That might be using a Clapper sound or adding a little text on the screen.

10. When You 🧡 Your Content

If you’re passionate about your content, the algorithm will also be passionate about it! Make sure that no matter what you’re creating (or how often you’re creating) that you’re only sharing content you love. They can literally see that enthusiasm through the screen – and it’s infectious!
