We heard you: y’all want all the tea on how to get verified on Clapper! We’ve covered this topic before, but it’s been about a year. Today, we’re giving you a refresher on the verification process and how you can get verified on Clapper.
The Verification Process 🎖️
Unlike most social media platforms, we actually have two different kinds of verification: Creator and Blue Check verification. You can review the requirements in your Creator Space anytime, and the system will automatically mark off any requirements you complete. Let’s go over each verification and its requirements!
Why Two Steps? 🤔
Most verification programs only recognize celebrities or influencers with huge followings. A lot of incredible creators never get to that point. It’s not fair that they never get recognized for their hard work and dedication. We created a two-step verification process to ensure that creators big and small can earn their verification and get rewarded for their hard work and creativity!
Creator Verification 🪪
The first step to verification on Clapper is Creator Verification. There are four requirements you need to meet for this verification.
3,000 Followers ✅
Creators must have at least 3,000 followers to apply for their Creator verification. This ensures that our verified creators have gathered a large community.
Video Over 3,000 Views ✅
You need at least one video with over 3,000 views to qualify for your Creator verification. The more videos, the better, but you’ll need at least one before you can even apply for Creator verification.
An Active Account ✅
You must have created seven videos in the last thirty days. We want to ensure all of our verified creators are consistently connecting with the community.
Original Videos ✅
To get your Creator verification, you cannot steal and repost other people’s content. The content you share must be your own. This is also part of our community guidelines. If you’re stealing content, you won’t be verified and might receive a community guidelines violation.
In addition, we want you to create high-quality videos. When creators hear “original”, they often think we’re just telling them to not steal content. But we’re looking for engaging, high-quality content, too. Are your videos positively contributing to the Clapper community? Can we clearly see and hear you? Our team will review your videos to ensure they meet our quality standards.
Additional Materials ✅
Part of the Creator verification is confirming your identity. Are you who you claim to be? What kind of content do you create, and what niche are you part of? If you’re an educator, we may ask for copies of your certifications to prove it. We can’t guarantee what you’ll be asked to provide, but keep it in mind when you start the verification process!
Blue Check Verification 🔵
Blue Check verification is our top-level verification. To earn your Blue check, there are five qualifications you have to meet. Spoiler: They’re all about community and whether or not you’re connecting with other creators.
Creator Verification ✅
You must have your Creator verification to earn a Blue Check. Again, this ensures that you’re involved in the Clapper community, are creating original content, and are who you claim to be. If you don’t have your Creator verification, you’re not getting your Blue Check.
30,000 Followers ✅
You’ll need at least 30,000 followers to qualify for a Blue Check. We want to make sure we’re giving a Blue Check to creators with large communities, but we don’t want it to be inaccessible! 30,000 seemed like a fair number to us.
Share Ten Videos in Thirty Days ✅
We’ll never put a limit on how many videos you can post, but you need to have at least ten from the last thirty days to apply for your Blue Check. This ensures that you’re actively connecting with your community and the Clapper community.
5,000 Average Views ✅
Your videos will need an average of 5,000 views in the past thirty days. This is to make sure that the content you’re creating is resonating with your audience and that they’re actually engaging with you.
High-Quality Content ✅
Just like with Creator verification, we want to ensure the content you’re sharing is high-quality. This doesn’t mean you need to have an expensive camera and spend hours editing! Is it your original content? Is it contributing to the community at large?
Review Process 🏆
Once you submit your application, our team will review it and your content. We can’t guarantee how long this will take. The process can vary, depending on you, your content, and how many other applications our team is reviewing. If you submit your verification application and don’t hear anything within two weeks, we recommend DMing us @ClapperCreator!
