Now we want to answer a question we see all the time: “Why am I not getting verified?” In this article, we’re sharing the top five reasons why you might not be getting verified.
Reason 1: Not Creator Verified 🧡
Clapper has a two-step verification process, which can be confusing for new creators. To get your blue check, you have to first get your Creator verification.
Our Creator verification is for smaller creators; you need a minimum of 3,000 followers and one video with over 3,000 views to qualify. A lot of creators don’t know about this option and instead just go for the blue check. But at Clapper, we want to ensure creators of all levels are recognized and rewarded for their hard work.
So, if you’re trying to get your blue check, make sure you’ve got your Creator verification first.
Reason 2: Not Enough Views 👀
Whether you’re aiming for Creator or Blue Check verification, you’ll have to meet a minimum number of views. And, because we try to be a little more flexible in our verification requirements, it can be a little tricky to understand. Let’s break it down.
Creator: Video Over 3,000 Views
You have to have at least one video with 3,000+ views. That’s not 3,000 views across all your videos, that’s not 3,000 average views on your videos. That’s one video with a minimum 3,000 views.
Blue Check: Average of 5,000 Views
Unlike Creator verification, for Blue Check, you need an average of 5,000 views on all your videos posted in the last thirty days. Not 5,000 on each or 5,000 on one, but 5,000 as an average.
If you haven’t been verified yet, double check you’re meeting the right view qualification! Trust us, this happens a lot.
Reason 3: Your Content Isn’t High Quality ✨
Clapper is all about creating real content…but it has to be quality content. That doesn’t mean you need a move producer budget!
What does it mean? It means that you need to create content where the viewers can clearly see and hear you. Don’t post a shakey, grainy video where you’re barely audible. Additionally, your content can’t just be a six second video of something random. Your videos should add something to the community or be interesting. Just because you have the followers or the views doesn’t mean your content meets those requirements.
Reason 4: Your Content Isn’t Original 🏆
Not only should your content add something to the community, but it should be your content. Creators across platforms have been stealing other creator’s content to get verified and make money. Clapper is no exception, but this method doesn’t get you anywhere.
If the majority or even half of your content is stolen, you won’t get verified. We deep dive into every verification application and double check that the content posted is original to that creator. If you’re waiting to hear back about yoru verification and your content is mostly stolen…that’s exactly what it is.

Reason 5: You Aren’t Engaging 👏
This doesn’t mean that you aren’t fun in your content. Instead, it means that you aren’t engaging with your audience and the Clapper community. That’s key not only for Clapper verification, but for Clapper as a whole.
To get verified, you have to be connecting and engaging with other creators. That means commenting on people’s videos, responding to comments on your videos, following creators, and generally connecting the community. A lot of creators don’t realize they have to meet his mark, but it’s vital.
