10 Christmas Movies Recommended By The Clapper Team

From The Grinch, Rudolph, and Frosty, to Hallmark Marathons and Edward Scissorhands (yes, it is a Christmas movie) there are hundreds of thousands of Christmas movies to watch this season. You’d be lying if you said they weren’t one of the best parts of the year! We all have our favorites, and that one we know reigns supreme…and often they’re all different.

This year I asked the Clapper team which was their favorite Christmas movie to make the ultimate watchlist. It’s full of nostalgia and cozy vibes and perfect for a lazy night in. Mull some wine, grab a couple of candy canes, and settle in for the greatest Christmas movie marathon.

10. The Grinch

“Who doesn’t live the Grinch?! He’s a meanie, and you really can’t beat Jim Carrey.” -Head of Operations

9. Home Alone

“It’s one of those movies that you can turn on and it just never gets old. Even if I know what’s about to happen in literally every scene, it’s always so good. I think of sitting in front of a fire and watching it with my family; it’s just so nostalgic!” -Content Operations Associate

7. Christmas in Connecticut

3. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

Is there a Christmas movie more full of one-liners than National Lampoon’s? Or a character more iconic than Aunt Bethany?

2. Die Hard

Yes, it counts. The whole thing takes place during a Christmas party, so it’s seasonally appropriate. Plus Alan Rickman is always a treat!

It doesn’t matter how stressed out you are. Watching Jack discover Christmas for the first time can make anyone excited for the season.
