2022 is (finally!) coming to an end! Give it one final toast with our @ClapperSounds NYE Open Mic on Friday, December 30th at 5pm CST.

We’ve done several open mics before, all a little different and highlighting creators from across the app. For this open mic, we want to not only showcase our poets, musicians, and comedians, but we also want to invite people up to talk about their past year, reflect on everything they accomplished (or didn’t!), and what goals they have for 2023. It’s a whole new ball game, just for the ball drop!

How Do I Sign Up for the Open Mic? ✍️🎙️

There’s two ways to perform in our Open Mic. The first is to fill out our sign-up sheet (which can be found here) to reserve your place and get a guaranteed performance slot. We recommend claiming your spot ahead of time, but if you don’t fill out the sign up sheet early, no worries! If you want to perform, let us know in the chat and if there’s time we’ll bring you up.

So…What Do You Need to Prepare? 🎼🎭

If you’re a performer, be sure to practice your piece ahead of time. This could be a live poetry reading, a live musical performance, or even a quick stand-up routine! For the first time ever we’re also inviting people up to talk and share their thoughts on 2022 as it comes to an end. You can write up your thoughts ahead of time, or speak from the heart in the moment. So long as you’re sharing, we’re excited to hear it!

Do I Have to Perform? 😰

No! This Open Mic is open for everyone to attend. The live stream starts at 5pm CST on December 30th on @ClapperSounds.
