5 Social Media Goals to Set in 2025

New year, new goals! Now is the perfect time to review your social media strategy and find what you want to approve. Whether you want to boost your followers or re-spark your creativity, the new year is prime time to set some social media goals. And as long as you’re creating and connecting, you can’t really go wrong…but we have some recommendations! Here are five social media goals for your 2025 content strategy! Grab one, two, or all five if you want.

1. Explore New Ways to Create ✨

Videos, Lives, Radios– you have a go-to content creation method you’re known for. This year, branch out and try a new content creation method. If you’re killing short-form video, see how you do with long-form. Or try going Live to connect with your audience in real-time.

Why? Having a few formats in your repertoire makes you a more versatile creator, expands your audience, and helps you reach new followers. Plus, it forces you to be more creative. Looking at your content from this new angle will help you with your regular strategy.

2. Try a New Niche 💄

Even if you don’t limit yourself to just one or two niches, do some research and find a new one to create in. You can follow your passions and choose a niche you’ve always wanted to try or choose one adjacent to a niche you already create for. Spend some time scrolling your FYP and jot down any new niches that catch your eye. Then, later this year, dip your toe in the water!

Why? Creating in a new niche will help you reach new followers and expand your audience. Researching other niches will help you stay on top of social media and what’s trending, so you can jump on anything new and exciting right away.

3. Connect With Your Audience 🫶🏻

You should always be looking for new ways to connect with your audience. This year, make it a priority! Whether you go Live or respond to more comments under your video, find new ways to engage with your followers.

Why? As a content creator, your audience is everything. The algorithm responds better to creators who engage with their comments, and you want your followers to trust you. The more you interact with them, the more they’ll get to know you and develop a relationship with you. That connection usually means they’ll be more invested in your content. Not to mention you might make a few friends in the process!

4. Track Your Analytics 📈

If you haven’t yet, make 2025 the year you start keeping up with your analytics. Start a spreadsheet and jot down how many likes, comments, shares, and views your posts get.

Why? If you want to level up your content creation, analytics are the very first step. They’ll give you a much clearer idea of what your audience is interested in, so you can adjust your content accordingly. Any brands or creators you’re interested in partnering or collaborating with will likely want to know how your content performs. You don’t have to get into the weeds and fully analyze everything; just keep track of the likes, comments, shares, and views your content gets.

5. Prioritize Content You Love 💖

In all the analytics and trends, it can be hard to focus on what we love. Make a dedicated effort to create content you’re passionate about. If you want to create a new series but aren’t sure how it will perform, do it anyway. If you just aren’t feeling a video you’d planned to record, go with the one you’re most excited about.

Why? Creating content is more fun and much easier if you love it. No matter what your social media goals are for 2025, we want you to prioritize the content you feel most passionately about.
