Everything You NEED to Know About the Dallas Creator Social

The Dallas Creator Social is just 9 days away! Some of you have been waiting for months for this event, so it’s time for a quick refresher. In this article, we’ll be covering everything you NEED to know before DCS.

The Venue 🗺️

Gilley’s is an iconic Dallas music and event venue, located right in the heart of Dallas. They have 7 different venues in their facility, including a rooftop area, a western bar, and a speakeasy-style bar. With a western theme, the venue offers a variety of Texan activities, food, and ambiance.

Livestream Rooms 🤳

Throughout the venue we’ll have several Livestream Rooms creators can book for their meetup content. Creators will be able to film in a variety of themed rooms, including 1 created by our friends at Fevermatic Studios. Sign-up for Livestream Rooms will be on a first come first serve, and you can sign up day of.

The Clappies 🏆

The Clappies (similar to the sort-of-popular Oscars), is Clapper’s official awards ceremony. We’ll recognize Clapper creators for their content, community, and creativity. Creators can compete in Best Comedy Skit, Most Emotional, Best Day in the Life, Community Favorite, and the Best Video Award. Voting will take place on Day 1 of the DCS.

Clapper Shop Workshop 🛍️

Clapper team members will lead creators through everything they need to know about selling on Clapper. Whether you’re an small business OG or looking to start your shop, our team will give you the inside scoop to help your shop rise to the top.

Live Clapper Talks Creator Panel 🎙️

If you know, you know. The Clapper Talks Radio is an interview show hosted by the Clapper Team where creators are interviewed about their lives, content, and niche communities. We will be holding a live Clapper Talks Panel with an array of speakers, from marketing agencies to social media influencers, to discuss the future of content creation.

Open Mic 🎤

On day 1, we will host a special Open Mic Night for all attendees. You’ll get to hang out on Gilley’s outdoor rooftop for an intimate performance full of musical fun. All signups for the Open Mic will be done at the event (first come, first serve!).

Are You Smarter Than a Clapper Team Member? 🤔

Our new trivia show will put your Clapper knowledge to the test. From fast facts to features, the blog to community guidelines, and even the official Clapper accounts, we cover it all. We’ll have multiple winners, and all of them will get a secret prize.

Getting Brand Deals with Clapper’s Head of Creator Partnerships 💭

On day 2, sit down with our Head of Creator Partnerships to talk about securing brand deals, finding an agent, reaching out about partnerships, and more. If you’re looking to level up your content creation, this is one talk you can’t miss!

VIP 3rd Birthday 🎂

Come hang out with us to celebrate our 3rd Birthday! We are hosting a VIP-only afterparty on Saturday, July 22nd after the conference. This will be an exclusive gathering where you’ll be able to network with industry experts and the Clapper team. Did we mention we’ll have cake?

Texas-Sized Activities 🤠

It wouldn’t be a party without some boot scootin’ or a cow! At the DCS, we’ll have a mechanical bull, a live longhorn, line-dancing lessons, and a 360-degree photobooth.

What to Prepare! 📝

You can never be over-prepared for a meet up. But there are a few things we’d recommend having ready beforehand.

  1. Your phone. We expect you knew that, but just in case…
  2. A phone charger. We’d recommend having a portable phone charger. .
  3. Something to take notes with. You’ll learn a lot, meet a lot of people, and get a lot of ideas.
  4. A camera. Whether it’s on your phone or a polaroid, you’ll want something to capture your memories!
  5. Mini-ring light. You want to make sure you’re camera ready.
  6. The Clapper Yearbook – to get your favorite creators’ signatures!
  7. Comfortable shoes. There’ll be places to sit, but you’ll still walk a lot.
  8. Cowboy attire. A cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and anything else that gets you in the spirit.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes! We made sure to find an accessible venue for our creators. If you need an elevator or another accommodation day of, please let us know.

Can we drink?

Of course! We’ll have 3 saloons at the event, including 1 that serves specialty Deep Eddy cocktails.

Will there be food?

Uh, yeah! We’ll have a BBQ food truck on-site both days – and VIP ticket holders get a free meal!
